Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) focuses on the root cause instead of the symptoms. An example of this is chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), which doctors now believe is actually one of six or seven different diseases with the essentially the same symptoms. Symptoms are not the disease.They’re only symptoms. Unless the root cause is found and treated, the underlying imbalance/disease will persist.
